The Billboard Top 100 included four mostly Spanish songs in 2016, and two songs in 2015. The popularity of Despacito reached its peak in the year the year 2017. In 2020 the year 2020, 41 mainly Spanish songs are expected to make it into the Top 100. Justin Bieber re-mixed Despacito with a Spanish-language version in 2017. In the year following, the most well-known artists began collaborating with reggaeton acts. Drake teamed with Bad Bunny to produce MIA (2018) and Madonna was a part of Medellin along with Maluma (2019). In the year 2020, some Reggaeton musicians were complaining about the trend of their genre to the mainstream. Yet, a young generation, such as Rauw Alejandro was keen to continue the evolution. The incorporation of elements from electronic dance music, and various other genres was a typical practice.
