Lucy Liu, an American voice actress, director, and singer, is also an outstanding actress. Beautiful, intelligent and skilled actor, she's an example to Asian actors aspiring to be big stars in Hollywood. After a series of initial performances in popular shows she achieved fame after joining the crew of the cult comedy show Ally McBeal where she played the sly Ling Woo. After her fame, she got significant part in Shanghai Noon (1998) and Charlie's Angels (2000). The film Kill Bill Volume 1, Quentin Tarantino, she gave a stunning performance as Japanese criminal O-Ren Ishii. In addition, she played lead parts in box office flops like Rise: Blood Hunter. Then, she was able to sing prominent characters for animation films, such as Kung Fu Panda. Mia Mason's tiny screen role in Cashmere Mafia did not produce the desired results. Southland is a critically-acclaimed series of crime dramas that included Liu in multiple parts, helped to establish her role as an actress. Liu is careful when choosing roles in order so that she doesn't get stereotyped in an industry that is highly competitive. While she embraces her roots but it doesn't mean she has to be when it comes to her career as an artist.
