Dolly-Parton
born on January. 19th, 1946 Locust Ridge Tenn into a poor family that would eventually comprise 12 kids Dolly Parton learned early to escape the hardships of living through her vibrant and expansive imagination. Before she could write and read, she had already composed her own songs. Her first guitar purchase came when she was just 8 years old and started performing on an Knoxville Tenn radio station at the age of 11. She recorded her first album within the same calendar year Gold Band Records, a small independent label. Even though she became popular in the local scene while she was at High School, she knew her goals were greater. In the exact day that she graduated from the high school in 1964. Dumb Blonde was her first album to be charted for the first time on Monument Records. At about this time Porter Wagoner was looking for a new girl singer for the show he had syndicated to television. Parton became a member of Grand Ole Opry 1969 after having signed in 1969 with RCA Records. Then, in 1974, she left Wagoner's Show because the success of her solo songs like Joshua Coats of Many Colors or Jolene was outstripping their joint releases. Parton's hit song, I'll Never Be Loved by You (for Wagoner), reached the top of the. 1 spot after they split. 1. for the first time in 1974.
