Parton became a member of Grand Ole Opry 1969 after having signed in 1969 with RCA Records. Then, in 1974, she left Wagoner's Show because the success of her solo songs like Joshua Coats of Many Colors or Jolene was outstripping their joint releases. Parton's hit song, I'll Never Be Loved by You (for Wagoner), reached the top of the. 1 spot after they split. 1. for the first time in 1974.
